The New Sheriff : July 1992 - The Dream Team scrimmage, the moment when the torch was passed. Magic Johnson started talking trash to Michael saying the league is not his yet. It didn’t take long before made it personal, taking the scrimmage over and dominating the best of the best. Afterwards, MJ, while smoking his cigar, placed his hand on Magic and Bird’s shoulders and said, “There’s a new sheriff in town.”
